This month we’ve added 516 new images to the library, and below you’ll find an overview of what wonderful pieces were included in our latest upload!

Tombleson’s Views of the Thames
This collection of illustrations by William Tombleson depicts various views from the River Thames, London, England. We didn’t acquire these prints because we love the River Thames. Our eyes were immediately drawn to the beautiful borders encapsulating each picturesque view! We will be isolating these from the backgrounds very soon, making them immediately usable for the modern creator! For now, you can enjoy these for free (or premium if you require full-resolution images).

Beautifully Hand-Colored Botanical Illustrations – Alpine Plants by David Wooster
These botany Illustrations deserve a closer look! The details are stunning and hand-finished. Work on isolating these from their backgrounds will begin soon – this will certainly be a challenge but a worthwhile one. See the full collection here.

Autumnal Leaves by the Talented Francis George Heath
We have already started work on isolating these leaves from their backgrounds. Even though some leaves are overlapping others, we are attempting to recreate the missing sections to create full pieces! Can’t wait to release the edited collection. For now, enjoy the original scans (free and premium resolutions available). See all work by Francis George Heath here. You’ll also find some rare fern illustrations!

The Clans, Landscapes, and Public Figures from Scottish History
Not everything we collect is purely for aesthetics. Although these illustrations are wonderful in their own right, we don’t assume many of you will be rushing to include them in your collage work. Unless, of course, your project revolves around Scotland and its glorious history! We couldn’t say no when we came across this small collection of books by R. R. Mcian and William Melven that contained a variety of illustrations that would pique the interest of any proud Scot. Check them out here and here.

Beautifully Illustrated Postcard-Esque Landscapes and Architecture of Scotland
I would have included this collection in the paragraph above, but this was an additional book purchased for aesthetics! These beautiful illustrations can serve so many purposes in today’s market. Scotland-related or not! By T. Nelson and Sons, See them all here.

Useful Plants of Great Britain by John E. Sowerby
A collection of hand-colored prints from the book mentioned above by John Sowerby. The illustrations depict a variety of plants that are used for medicine, food, the arts, or manufacturing.
